  2. Problem • The population of high school students in Detroit is 94,054. • Sixty percent of those students are dropping out. • They are suffering more than any other school in this country. • Fewer than 25% of Detroit students graduate every year.

  4. Solution • We Will pay the teens that are planning to dropout 200 dollars to come to a 2 month trip. • We will take these teens to the highest level of reality. In other words put them in the shoes of people that have dropped out • By taking them to a very horrible city in America • Make them do almost everything they would be doing if they dropout. • For 2 months of paying there own bills, working on there own, and walking to work. • They will be working in places that pay less and don’t need a high school diploma.

  5. Money for program? • Every school year we will have fundraisers, bake sales, carwashes est. • Through out the entire year for what ever school we are taking that year. • 600 dollars for 3 busses. • 200 dollars for each student that participates. • Money for the apartments.

  6. Job choices • McDonalds workers get 4.25 dollars a hour. • Fruit Markets get 7 dollars a hour. • Car wash- get 5 dollars an hour.

  8. Monthly Earnings • The most you can earn is 550 dollars a month. • After all payments are paid you are left with around 20 dollars a month. • CANT GET ANYWHERE WITH THAT!

  9. How is this going tohelp? • Its going to help them see the future before it happens. • its going to show them how they could be living • once they see what can happen to them they will come back working extra hard, and think twice about dropping out. • there going to be suffering and working all day with no time for them self's. • then they will realize that they don’t want that kind of future.
