POST-WITHDRAWAL DISBURSEMENT • Made Within 180 Days of the Date of Determination • Meets the Limitations on Making a Late Disbursement • Second or Subsequent Disbursement of a Direct Loan • First Year, First-Time Borrower • Valid Institutional Student Information Record (ISIR) • Valid Student Aid Report (SAR) • Signed Master Promissory Note (MPN) • Loan Originated
POST-WITHDRAWAL DISBURSEMENT • Required Notifications Within 30 Days of the Date of Determination: • Borrower’s Right to Decline All or a Portion of the Loan Disbursement • Request Confirmation of Any Amount to Be Credited to the Student’s Account or Directly Disbursed to the Borrower • Explain the Obligation to Repay the Loan • Specify a Deadline of at Least 14 Days for Required Response/Confirmation

CREDIT BALANCE REFUNDS • Refund No Later Than 14 Days • Non-Compliant Authorization to Hold Title IV Credit Balances • Credit Balances Not Released by End of Loan Period or Award Year • Paying FSA Credit Balances by Initiating Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT)
R2T4 AND CREDIT BALANCES • Withdrawn Student With Credit Balance Refund • Hold All Title IV Credit Balances Until R2T4 is Calculated • Credit Balance is “Aid/Amount Disbursed” in the Calculation • Determine If Credit Balance Changes Because of Accreditor or Institutional Refund Policy • Release Credit Balance Within 14 Days
