  2. Click Start, then Click Control Panel • Find the System Button, and double click it

  3. If your control panel looks like this: You need to switch it over to classic view, by pressing the “Switch to Classic View Button

  4. Click on the Computer Name Tab

  5. Change the Computer Description name to your username (aka jkimball) • Click the Change button to join the Bucknell Domain

  6. Type in your user name in “Computer name” • Type in “bucknell.edu” under domain • Then press “ok” • Press ok, on the previous screen as well

  7. 1. Go back to the control panel screen, and double click “User Accounts”

  8. 1. Click Add, to add another user

  9. Type in your user name • Type BUCKNELL under domain • Press Next

  10. Click on “Other”, and make yourself an Administrator (It will be easier to transfer your files over this way) • Then Click Finish • Close out all of the boxes by pressing ok, and log off

  11. After you have logged off, you should be out a screen that says “Press Control+Alt_Delete to Log on • Press Control+Alt+Delete • Click the “Options Button” (by doing this, the DOMAIN should appear) • Change the Domain from “this computer” to BUCKNELL and log on

  12. Copying all of your files from older folder to new folder • After you have logged in, go to the C: Drive • Find the folder Documents and Settings In here contains all of the “My Documents” folders for each account, so you can copy them over from your old account

  13. 1. Click on your old user name, in my case it was “John Kimball”

  14. Then click on the documents folder

  15. Your now in your old “My Documents” Folder, now just copy all of these files and place it in your new My Documents Folder Current My Documents Folder
