  2. Comparisons Book Movie • The beast is hairy all over, with fangs and claws. He is suppose to be a complete monster. • The Witch gives Kyle two years to find some one to kiss him (out of being in love with him). • Lindy (The girl he falls in love with) is a red/blond haired girl. • Kendra (the Witch). She has green hair, she’s over weighed in the beginning, and she turns out to be the maid, Magda. • Kyle changes his name to Adrian because it means the dark one. • The beast is covered with black veins and scars. No fangs, and no claws. • Kyle is given one year to break the spell by having someone tell him they love him • Lindy has black hair. • Kendra is a gothic fashion icon. She physically shows up a couple of times, and Magda is just another character with three kids. Magda is really the maid not the witch. • Kyle’s new name is Hunter.

  3. Kyle Kingsbury Before Kyle Kingsbury is the son of Manhattan's news anchor: Rob Kingsbury. He is tall, blonde, rich, and handsome. He is the most popular guy in school and dates all of the girls. When Kyle asks an unappealing new student, Kendra, to the dance as a practical joke, Kendra, who is really a beautiful witch, transforms Kyle into an ugly beast. Kyle's father is ashamed of his son's appearance and locks him in a large apartment in downtown New York so no one will see him. Adrian has two years to break the witch's spell by falling in love and being loved sincerely despite physical appearances. Movie book

  4. Kendra The Witch used her powers too frequently in her youth and, as punishment, is sent by the witch elders to New York City to work as a servant. She disguises herself as a new student at Tuttle HS to spy on Kyle. She introduces herself as Kendra Hilferty, described with green hair and dark clothes, and is overweight and ugly. However, before she transforms Kyle, her "ugliness" disappears and she is described as a beautiful witch. Book Movie

  5. Lindy Owens She is described as not the most beautiful girl with red hair, green eyes, and crooked teeth. She often talks about how she 'dug a tunnel' out of her life and applied for Kyle's school, Tuttle, the most expensive private school. Kyle, when he first saw her, called her a total zero. He keeps watching her, and slowly falls in love with her. When she first comes to the house, she is afraid. After a few days she comes out and tutors with Will and Adrian (Kyle). She loves the roses in the greenhouse. When they both go back to school, she and Kyle are dating. She is described as very smart, and tolerant of her father's drug-filled life. Movie
