Direct Objects • In German, you need to differentiate between the subject and the object of the sentence. • Remember, there are definite (der, die, das) and indefinite (ein, eine, ein) articles in German. • Only the masculine article changes in the accusative case (direct object). • Examples:der (ein) Rock • Ichtrageden Rock. I wear the skirt. • Ichtrageeinen Rock. I wear a skirt.
