Twitter launched its live streaming app, Periscope, in March 2015. Facebook followed suit and launched Facebook Live for celebrities in August 2015, and then for the general public in January 2016. 2: Live Videos Live means exclusive. Live videos are trending and more and more video content platforms like Twitter (Periscope), Facebook and Instagram have been including “going live” as a feature. They work by compressing a lot of information in a single medium while making it more appealing by pairing it with relevant images that aid in retention.
