  2. The Three S’s • When you divide a polynomial by a monomial: • Separate the terms in the numerator. Write each term over the denominator. • Simplify each quotient according to the coefficients (divide or reduce) and the exponents (subtract, where are there more?) • Sircle your answer. Do not try to combine your answers over a common denominator.
