Word List A caught [KAWT] v. When my coat got caught in the door, the door would not close properly. flee[FLEE] v. The cat tried to flee when it saw the dog. sailor[SAY luhr] n. Jared wanted to be a sailor because he loved to be on the sea. sea[SEE] n. I won’t go swimming in the sea; the waves are too big and the water is too cold. skimming[SKIM ing] adj. With my new skates, I was skimming smoothly around the rink. splash[SPLASH] n. I heard the splash when Jessica jumped into the pool.
Word List B asphalt [AS fawlt] adj. We play football on grass rather than asphalt pavement so we don’t get hurt. flaw[FLAW] n.
