  1. What is SFX? SFX is software that will allow you to link directly from a research database to an article in many of the 13,000 ejournals the Yale Library subscribes to. If a digital copy isn’t available, you can then find print holdings in Orbis. What databases will have SFX links? To begin with: Web of Science, Ebscohost and OCLC FirstSearch. After January 7, you will be able to use SFX in any OVID database (e.g., CINAHL, MEDLINE,PsycINFO, etc.) What do I need to do to use SFX? Just do a search in one of the listed databases as you always do. Then look for the SFX link. Click on it to find: Fulltext (when available) Orbis holdings SFX at the Yale University Library Look for it January 2002 For more information, email kathleen.bauer@yale.edu, or see http://info.med.yale.edu/library/subjects/sfx.html
