Welcome to Math Facts in a Flash. Getting Started. Have students log into a computer using: Aublab Lab Click on STAR Icon If students log in with their own log in Go to star.bcschools.net Click on Student In the middle of page, in blue, click on find user name

Getting Started • Have students log into a computer using: • Aublab Lab Click on STAR Icon • If students log in with their own log in • Go to star.bcschools.net • Click on Student • In the middle of page, in blue, click on find user name • Have students do a search by last name • Click on Name • Password: ABC • In Green, Under Math Facts in a Flash, Click on STAR Working
Math Facts in a FlashSet Up • Log in as Teacher • User name and password (1234) • There are four areas under MFF • Assignment Book • Reports • Preferences • Resources
Assignment BookActivities • You can do many tasks under assignment book • Set individual levels – By Clicking on one student or you can batch everyone by clicking on the x at the top. You can have students start at a certain level. • You can print practice worksheets or flashcards for students • You can Hold/Reset a student on a certain level • Change the default time for each question (default set at 2 minutes)
Assignment Book and Reports • You can print or look at reports at both the Assignment section and the report section • Click on the report you want and choose view report • You may also print a report from this screen • There are certificates, parent reports, etc. a lot of nice options
Preferences • In the preferences area you can: • Set mandatory practice if student fails a test • Set a monitor password, (admin) when a student aborts a test • Set the problem format to vertical, horizontal or a combination • Change student answer input (A, B, C) Or open ended, student types answer • Time Goals • Time Outs • TOPS Report – I have this set as disabled, wastes a lot of paper, but your choice.

TROUBLE SHOOTING • If a student is locked out • Go to Personnel, Parents and Student (at the top) • Click on Clear locked students • If a student needs a monitor password entered • Type in ADMIN • E-Mail or Call Pam Simon in Media • Call Renaissance Learning for Assistance
