eGauge Energy Monitor Solar energy monitoring
eGauge Energy Monitor • The eGauge Energy Monitor is a flexible, secure, web-based electric energy meter that measures up to 12 circuits on up to 3-phases (120V−480V, 50−60Hz). You can use the eGauge to measure and record building electrical consumption, solar, wind and other electricity generation, and consumption of individual circuits, such as equipment, pumps, motors, EV charging and heaters. The data can be viewed on any web device through the in-built web-server. The display updates every second, giving direct feedback on any load or generation changes. It records the most recent 30 years of data in the built-in solid-state memory.
As eGauge's distributor for Australia, BCJ Controls supplies the eGauge as a stand alone unit. It can also be embedded within one of our Grid Protection Units. Call 02 9534 8465 for details.
Benefits • Monitor Performance of a Solar Installation • Consumption vs. Production • Monitor system health • Operation and Maintenance Contracts
Monitor Performance of a Solar Installation • Track your production and compare it to your expected renewable energy generation, helping users achieve lower energy consumption, maximize payback, and lower their monthly electricity bill. Monitor system health • Using an eGauge to monitor your installations, you can observe a change in production over time. This allows you to contact your users when they require panel cleaning, or if there is some reason the system can be maintained (tree shade, faulty inverter etc.).
Consumption VsProduction • With CTs installed on the site load, you can see how much power is being consumed and compare it against the solar production. Up to 12 CTs can be installed so other circuits can be monitored. Operation and Maintenance Contracts • Using an eGauge to monitor your installations, you can observe a change in production over time. This allows you to contact your users when they require panel cleaning, or if there is some reason the system can be maintained (tree shade, faulty inverter etc).
eGauge Web Interface • With the eGauge you can login remotely through the app. The interface shows current consumption and generation info with a live, high-res graph. The left segment of the graph displays recent historical data (most recent 24 hours in the example below), whereas the right segment is a gauge that is updated each second and shows current generation (green) and consumption (red).
