  2. Personal Life • Mario Lemieux was born in Canada on October 5th, 1965. • He was born to Jean-Guy and Pierrette Lemieux • Lemieux was a heavy smoker. • Mario Lemieux married Nathalie Asselin.

  4. Stats • He played in the NHL for 17 seasons, for the Pittsburgh Penguins the entire time. • In 915 games played, he scored 690 goals and 1033 assists. • Won 3 Stanley Cups.

  8. Retirement • On January 24th, 2006, Lemieux announced that he would retire, for the second time. • The game pace was too fast. • He struggled with atrial fibrillation, which caused him to experience irregular heartbeats.
