Support for natural and manmade disasters, military exercises, peace keeping operations, and wartime operations when requested by military commands or when tasked by DOD To serve as the liaison between AAFES and military commands and provide unclassified operational military information to the company as a whole to allow better support of military operations To interface with other directorates in AAFES to coordinate comprehensive uninterrupted support for all contingency operations Contingency Mission 4

Lessons Learned (Natural Disaster) AAFES should have an LNO at COCOMs or supporting commands for first critical days after natural disaster MOU between supporting COCOM/AAFES must be distributed to ground commander to understand their role in supporting AAFES Establish finance procedures   Coordinate with military to establish a deposit schedule (security/transportation) Logistical challenges Coordinate with military to create a “supply and re-supply” plan (sea, air, and land)  10
