  18. Hawk, Thin Portal & Gnome • The Veterans Administration VISN 10 installed the following RFID portals throughout the state of Ohio: • Hawks – 555 Units • Thin Portals - 40 • Gnomes – 65 • As in many retro fit integrations a variety of portals are needed to fit the existing space.

Currently being used at; • Lackland Air Force Base • Paris Island Marine Corps Base • Every item in a soldiers duffle bag is read as it passes through the chute. • In the event that an item is missing it is quickly rectified and the soldier goes on to their next task.

Thin Portal • The GSA is using Thin Portals at some of its distribution centers to track assets in and out of the center. • The picture to the right is a double sided Thin Portal between two dock doors with two light stacks so that ingress and egress can be determined. • They were also single Thin Portals at the end of the row of dock doors.
