  2. ‘Rescue and restore children by establishing families, instilling hope and preparing them for the future.’ Our organisation, ‘Mind the Gap – Africa’, under Bulawayo Baptist Church wants to. . .

  3. We have 17 children who have been orphaned or abandoned living in a Family ‘Forever’ Home.

  4. Meet Jeffrey • We took him into our third home from a large institution of 40 children. • In the institution he was unhappy and never smiled • After one week of being with us, in a home with a mummy and seven brothers and sisters he changed and is now a happy little lad.

  5. Meet Thomas • He had been abandoned and had been in hospital for several months • He came to live with us in January 09 • He is HIV, was malnourished and a very sick little boy

  6. Then 18 months later. . . the right nutrition, ARV drugs taken regularly and plenty of love

  7. Education is important Our teacher

  8. Playing is important too!

  9. 8% of the population of Zimbabwe are orphaned or abandoned children. . . that’s around 1.2 million children What more can we do?

  10. We have bought a 30 acre farm on which to build a Children’s Village.

  13. We are hoping to build 12 of these houses to home 8 children in each

  15. We need to farm and rear animals and become as self sufficient as possible And the children need to learn the skills they need to survive

  16. We now have 400 layers and are selling eggs to raise money to care for the children.
