Objectives of the Study • The main objective of the study to find out the factors behind the selection of a particular school • To compare the climate (area of school, sports ground availability, basic sanitation etc.) of public schools with private schools, • To compare pupils capability (IQ level, sports achievement, health etc.) of public schools with private schools, • To study the socio-economic background of parents of pupils going to public vs private schools.

  5. Projected outcomes • Public schools are lacking behind in their infrastructure and basic facilities. Study will make suggestions to govt. and ministry of education to improve the same. • Govt. has introduced so many schemes for public schools but implementation is not being done. • Students in private schools are being provided better academic as well as co-curricular environment. Why is it not possible in public schools. • Teacher absenteeism is a common practice in public schools, teachers are talented but they are not serious about their job( personal interaction with students revealed it) • Parents selection of school is not always rational.
