1. Mrs. Crissy’s CLASS NEWS Hickory Flat ES May 6, 2010 Vol. 2 Issue 32 Upcoming Events May 13/14 – In school field trip: High Touch/High Tech. PTA funds this activity. (Each 3rd grade class has a time on one of those days.) May 17th – Monday – Old School House Fieldtrip. May 24th – Monday - Spelling Rodeo and end of the year party. Information in today’s folder. May 27th – Thursday – 3rd Grade Awards. 8:45 a. m. in classroom. May 28th – Friday - LAST DAY OF SCHOOL  To the finish line! We are in the home stretch of third grade and want your child to ‘finish on top’! Please continue to encourage your child to complete assignments as a fourth grader! Your child should be working to the best of his/her ability because it is reflective of motivation and accountability….and we are still grading for the last semester. Your child must know the 0-12 facts in order to enter 4th grade on top! Students are participating in daily timed tests on the level they are working on. We have several students who are working on passing the 4’s! (Encourage daily practice) We are also working on long division and 2 x 1 digit and 3 x 1 digit multiplication.
