Barsebäck Training and Research Centre • Since the termination of the operation of Barsebäck NPP (BKAB) • in 2005, BKAB has opened the site for training courses and research. • These possibilities are also open for national and international • organisations and companies. • Examples of ongoing activities to enhance basic knowledge • of work methods, safety regulations and what is expected to maintain • a good safety and ALARA culture and a good professional performance. • KSU/National nuclear industry. Training in workmanship/safety culture and practical maintenance. •    Part of the education of Health Physicists from the University of Lund is done on the site in cooperation with the plant staff. •   Testing/training with new NDT-equipment in the RPV by Forsmark and OKG NPP-s. • Conmod – test of concrete shielding around the reactor vessel. • DeSa – an IAEA-project to enhance Decommissioning Safety. •    ELFORSK in Sweden are analyzing ageing corrosion of plate in wet wells water level at Barsebäck NPP. • Ringhals AB has used Barsebäck NPP to an R&D project in the reactor tank and moderator tank, analyzing IGSCC and IASCC. • Ageing phenomena. International contacts have been established for future possible use of Barsebäck NPP-s reactor tanks to analyze ageing phenomena. We offer 2 NPP:s fully equipped - with more or less total access to all vital parts of the plant. We have decontaminated the primary system and also the lower part of the reactor vessel. Very low dose rate levels, compared to an operating NPP. Conference rooms - both small and larger, chemistry- and radiation protection- laboratories, workshops in controlled and un-controlled areas. Services - administrative support, chemists, radiation protection, engineers etc. Easy access - National (Malmö-Sturup) and International (Copenhagen) airports in the area. (45 minutes from Copenhagen international airport). Room and full board - on site or on local Hotels. What is YOUR problem or NEED?
