Why need GE? • to augment and round out the specialised training students receive in their majors by enabling them to achieve a breadth of knowledge through exposure to other disciplines. • GE aims to equip students with a broad range of skills and knowledge necessary for facing the challenges of a rapidly changing world.

How do students select OOD courses? • Follow choices of peers • Workload • Assessment pattern • Suit timetable to allow for day off • Interest • Connected to Programme discipline • Route to career not related to major discipline
