A New Solution The Foot-O-Vator The Problem People who use the leg press at the RIC face these problems: • The footplate is too high for users to position legs easily • Users have trouble securing / supporting feet with --the current rubber strap system The Solution: The Foot-O-Vator This motorized foot-elevator raises and supports feet comfortably and effectively. No modification to the existing machine is required. The Foot-O-Vator fits around the existing leg press without altering the action or the structure of the leg press, making for easy construction and removal Features and Benefits A motorized “foot elevator” raises the feet from ground level up to the footplate of the leg press The safety lip at the edge of the lift plates prevents toes from being pinched against the bottom of the footplate The foot elevators serve as a ledge for foot support, replacing the rubber strap system The Foot-O-Vator is controlled by a set of buttons placed forambidextrous access from the seat of the leg press Lift plates lowered Lift plates raised The elevator runs on unobtrusive rigid guideposts which fit on the existing frame of the leg press and do not affect the action of the leg press Individual foot plates allow the Foot-O-Vator to fit over the frame of the current machine Section 13 Team 2: Jonathan Lee, Scot Dillon, Matthew Chastain, Stephen Wylie
