  3. Why? • Temperature: 61 degrees F • Land 30% • Water 97% saltwater, 1% fresh water, and 2% frozen water • Size : 7,918 miles • Atmosphere: 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen

  4. Composition • The earth has 4 layers • Inner core (solid, made of iron and nickel) • Outer core (liquid, made of iron and nickel) • Mantle (made of rock, thickest layer) • Crust (thinnest layer, made mostly of rock)

  5. Moon 129100271 Earth has one moon. It has many craters. Many space missions have been performed there- humans have even walked on the moon!

  6. Unique Features Earth is famous for its’ beautiful blue and green color. The blue comes from water- Earth is the only planet with lots of liquid water. The green color comes from the land- Earth has 7 continents (bodies of land). Earth also has a strong atmosphere. From space, you can see clouds covering Earth. 111189245
