Email • Communication with parents, students (instant documentation) • Use for sending class notes, homework assignments, receiving essays, etc.
Power Point • Makes delivery of information interesting for the students… add graphics, animation, etc. • Multiple classes: no need to put things up twice. • Convert to pdf (pdf995) and put them on class webpage or email to absent students.
Google docs • Online writer’s workshops • No need to carry papers around: access work wherever you can connect to the internet • Eco-friendly • Work with students anytime, anywhere • Increasing number of colleges require electronic submissions • Easy and free
Google sites • Parent/teacher, parent/student communication • Post notes, podcasts • Add a calendar with due dates & other class events • Subpages for individual classes • Free!
