  2. The Verb VENIR • You use venir to say that someone is coming to a place or an event. • ¿A qué hora vienes al restaurante? • Vengo a las cuatro de la tarde.

  7. ¡OJO! • Note that venir has an irregular “yo” form that ends in “go” (just like these other verbs that we have studied—tener, hacer and poner). • vengo • tengo • hago • pongo

  8. ¡OJO! • Note that venir also has a stem change in the tú, Ud. (él, ella) and Uds. (ellos, ellas) forms (just like tener). • However there is no stem change in the nosotros / nosotras forms. • Note that the nosotros form of venir is venimos; but the nosotros form of tener is tenemos. • Be sure to memorize the verb venir.
