Got the Jitters? Think of it this way: • The job interview is a business communication between two parties trying to determine whether they want to invest in one another. Both parties have something at stake; a poor decision can hurt either party.

Personal Presentation The single most influential factor in an interview is not your experience or qualifications, but your personality –how you present yourself in an interview. SELL YOURSELF!! Use: Specific Examples from past work experiences

Prepare Some Answers…about your areas to develop – • Recognize that you have them • Own them and flip it positive OR • Strategize what you will actively do to ensure it will not affect the position • Be willing to discuss briefly!

The Night Before The Interview… • Practice, practice, practice • Review your resume • Review your research on the position • List the points about yourself to emphasize • Set out clothes • Plan route • Organize portfolio (References, Resume, Calling Card) • Prepare Questions for them
The Day of The Interview... • Arrive early, but only in minutes (15 min max.) • Greet the receptionist • Check appearance • Look for additional reading material • Breath, relax, (keep breathing!)
