Accessing Enrollments eDIRECT Enrollments window is October 12-22, 2010 • Enrollments Menu > View Reports • ‘Administration’ dropdown—NEW ‘NeSA-RMS Spring 2011’ administration • ‘District’ and ‘School’ dropdowns • ‘Show Enrollments’ button • ‘Instructions’
Accessing Enrollments continued • District-level users may supply enrollment information for all schools within the district • District-level users may authorize other personnel in the district to assist with entering enrollments • District-level users may designate school-level users to supply enrollment information for their schools
STEP 1 Answer Questions About Testing Mode • The decision to test online or on paper must be made at the school level in Enrollments • Schools may select online or paper/pencil as the primary testing mode for each subject—reading, mathematics or science • Schools will not be able to change testing mode after Enrollments closes on October 22, 2010
STEP 1 Answer Questions About Testing Mode continued • Will this school administer the NeSA-Reading Test online?Yes or No • Will this school administer the NeSA-Math Test online?Yes or No • Will this school participate in the NeSA-Science Field Test? • Yes, it will administer the test online. • Yes, it will administer the test on paper. • No, it will not participate.
STEP 2Enter Enrollments • Entering number of students—not individual student information (student demographic information will come from NSSRS) • Entering the number of students who need specific types of test materials, not ordering test materials • DRC will determine the type and amount of materials to send to each site based on the information you provide
STEP 2Enter Enrollments continued • Enter actual student counts—no need to order extra • English versions of the Test Booklets and Answer Sheets will be sent automatically if you order paper Spanish Translation Test Booklets • DRC’s estimating process accounts for a certain level of change between the close of the Enrollments System and the testing window
STEP 2 Enter Enrollments continued • The ‘TOTAL NUMBER OF STUDENTS ENROLLED’ fields must be filled in for every school in the district. • Include students who will take the Alternate Assessment. • Enter zero for each grade for which the school does not have any students enrolled. • Your answers to the questions about test mode in Step 1 affect the remaining fields you need to complete in Step 2.
STEP 2 Enter Enrollments continued The first two questions pertain to the required NeSA subjects for 2011, reading and mathematics. • Will this school administer the NeSA-Reading Test online?Yes or No • Will this school administer the NeSA-Math Test online?Yes or No
STEP 2 Enter Enrollments continued If you answer No, DRC will send paper booklets for the given subject for the ‘TOTAL NUMBER OF STUDENTS ENROLLED.’ This means… • You should notenter any quantities in the ‘Paper (Online Schools Only)’ rows. • You should enter the number of students who need Large Print, Contracted Braille, Uncontracted Braille, and/or Spanish Translation materials at each school. • None of the students in the school may take the test online for the given subject. NOTE: Administrators will still need to access the online testing system to enter results for any alternate students taking the NeSA-AAR or NeSA-AAM.
STEP 2 Enter Enrollments continued If you answer Yes, the majority of the students at the school are expected to take the test for the given subject online. This means… • Online schools may receive paper booklets for any students—not just those with SPED, 504 plans, or ELL accommodations—by entering quantities in the ‘Paper (Online Schools Only)’ fields. • You should enter the number of students who need Large Print, Contracted Braille, and Uncontracted Braille materials at each school. • The Spanish version of the NeSA-M will also be available online. Order paper Spanish Translation mathematics materials by entering quantities in the ‘Spanish Translation’ fields. English Test Booklets and Answer Sheets will accompany paper Spanish Test Booklets.
STEP 2 Enter Enrollments continued The third question pertains to the NeSA-Science Field Test. • Will this school participate in the NeSA-Science Field Test? • Yes, it will administer the test online. • Yes, it will administer the test on paper. • No, it will not participate. The NeSA-S Field Test is optional, but both paper and online participation is strongly encouraged.
STEP 2 Enter Enrollments continued If you answer Yes, it will administer the test online, the majority of students at the school are expected to take the NeSA-Science Field Test online. However… • No paper NeSA-Science Field Test materials will be sent to schools that volunteer to administer the test online. • No Large Print, Contracted Braille, Uncontracted Braille, or Spanish Translation materials will be provided for the NeSA-Science Field Test. (Accommodated materials will be available for the first required NeSA-Science Test in 2012.) • No make-ups are required. • Administrators will need access the online system to enter results for any alternate students taking the NeSA-AAS Field Test.
STEP 2 Enter Enrollments continued If you answer Yes, it will administer the test paper, DRC will send paper booklets for the given subject for the ‘TOTAL NUMBER OF STUDENTS ENROLLED.’ However… • None of the students in the school may take the test NeSA-Science Field Test online. • No Large Print, Contracted Braille, Uncontracted Braille, or Spanish Translation materials will be provided for the NeSA-Science Field Test. (Accommodated materials will be available for the first required NeSA-Science Test in 2012.) • No make-ups are required. • Administrators will need to access the online system to enter results for any alternate students taking the NeSA-AAS Field Test.
STEP 2 Enter Enrollments continued If you answer No, it will not participate, the NeSA-Science Field Test should not be administered to any of the students in the school.
STEP 2 Enter Enrollments continued • Save vs. Complete • Districts/schools may change information in Enrollments any time between October 12 and October 22, 2010. • Must click Complete before October 22, 2010. • During the second week of the Enrollments window, DRC will send reminders to any district that has not logged in and/or completed enrollments for all schools.
STEP 3Verify Shipping Information • If any changes are needed to the Shipping Information displayed in eDIRECT, please contact NDE Statewide Assessment at 402-471-2495 or nde.stateassessment@nebraska.gov • The NDE Statewide Assessment office will update its records and forward any changes to DRC.
Summary and Status Report • Summary shows the answers to the testing mode questions and enrollment counts for any school that has saved OR completed information in Enrollments • Status Report shows the status of each school’s activity in the Enrollments System • Not Started • In Progress • Completed

Assigning Others Permission to Enrollments in eDIRECT • eDIRECT Manage Users Menu • My Account • Change My Password • User Administration • Edit User • Add Single User • Upload Multiple Users • Users Tab versus Profiles Tab
Assigning Others Permission to Enrollments in eDIRECT • Update user accounts for the new administration • Click on the Profiles tab. • Select all user profiles you want to copy to the new administration. • Click the ‘Copy to New Administration’ button. • All permissions assigned to the user in the previous administration will be transferred to the new administration.
