  2. Revive • To flourish anew, renewal, revitalizing, reinvigorating, rescue from trouble • “Bring my soul out of trouble” (Psa. 143:11) • Salvation, rescue, renewal, resuscitation from death, 1 Kgs. 17:21-22

  3. Revive • Warned not to grow weary and faint, Gal. 6:9; 2 Ths. 3:13 • Sinners must be revived out of the death of sin • Christians must be revived out of spiritual lethargy, Heb. 6:9-12 (cf. Zeph. 1:12)

  4. The Lord is our Source of Revival • Only true source, Psa. 138:7-8 • Raised Israel from the dead, Ezek. 37:1-14 • Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life, John 11:23-26 • Now those dead in sin can live, John 5:25 • Our revival declares God’s power and righteousness, Psa. 143:11; Jno. 5:26-27

  5. God Can and Will Revive Us… • According to His Word, Psa. 119:154 (25, 107, 37) • Not revived (saved) from sin by… • Morality, Acts 10:2, 22 (11:14) • Experiences, Phil. 3:4-7 • Emotions, Heb. 12:17 • Personal desire for it, Matt. 19:16, 20, 22 • A good conscience, Acts 23:1

God Can and Will Revive Us… • According to His Judgments, Psa. 119:156 (40, 149) • His word governs our life, Heb. 4:12-13 • Live by God’s judgments, James 1:21-25 • According to His Mercy, Psa. 119:159 (88); Ezra 9:9 • God’s mercy and grace saves, Titus 3:4-5 • Leads us to repentance, Romans 2:4

  7. To be Revived We Must… • Respond in faith to God’s grace, Eph. 2:1-3, 5, 8 • Obedient faith obtains salvation, Acts 3:19 • Humble and contrite before God, Isaiah 57:15 (Jas. 4:6)

To be Revived We Must… • Respond in faith to God’s grace, Eph. 2: 1-3, 5, 8 • Repent and pursue the knowledge of the Lord, Hosea 6:1-3; Acts 3:19 • Willing and obedient to call on the name of the Lord, Psa. 80:18-19 (Acts 22:16) • Rejoice in Him for His salvation, Psa. 85:6(seasons of refreshing, Acts 3:19)

  9. Revive Me, O Lord! • God has given life to your flesh • God longs to give life to your soul • The Prince of Life, Acts 3:15, Eph. 2:4-6 • God revives the weary soul (Psa. 143:11) • Live by faith and never grow weary of doing good (Gal. 6:9)
