You can get them over and over again. • You do not get these diseases from doorknobs, toilet seats, or drinking glasses. • STD’s attack the mucous membranes of the body • General Terms • STD = Sexually Transmissible Diseases • Sexual Contact: Usually refers to sexual intercourse, but can also mean just touching of the genital areas.
