Geography providing evidence of evolution • The movements of the continental plates is a big factor • Similar species were found in the Americas, Australia, and New Guinea • The reason for this is because when all the contents were connected the species could have been all similar but as the continents separated the species would either have to adapt to the new climate or die out

  2. Divergent Divergent- current species evolves into a new species Starts of as one animal and splits into multiple other animals Because of where the species live they evolved there features to their environment to help them with daily living

  3. Convergent Convergent- evolution of similar traits in unrelated organisms They never were related, but because of there similar environments they adapted to look and have similar traits to help them live
