Word Wall • Diaspora • People dispersed by whatever cause to more than one location • OR • People settled far from their ancestral homelands
Castigate (kas’ tigĀt) • To criticize or punish severely (v.) • Joseph’s biology teacher castigated him severely for chewing gum during the lab portion of class.
Gauche (gŌsh) Lacking social graces; tactless (adj.) While it is a common occurrence in classes which meet just after lunch, belching aloud is truly a gauche habit.
