  3. The Music Video & The Web In the mid 90’s to mid 2000’s, I remember going to MTV’s website to find my videos and I couldn’t find them. Thenin February 2005 three former PayPal employees created YouTube. A video-sharing website on which users can upload, view and share videos. The company is based in San Bruno, California, and uses Adobe Flash Video and HTML5 technology.Best of all every video I had ever made was THERE!

In May 2011, YouTube reported in its company blog that the site was receiving more than three billion views per day. In January 2012, YouTube stated that the figure had increased to four billion videos streamed per day.

The site went live on December 8, 2009, and that same month became the number one most visited music site in the US, overtaking MySpace Music…OVERNIGHT! Warner Music Group was initially reported to be considering hosting its content on VEVO but subsequently formed a rival alliance with MTV Networks. There are more than 50,000 videos available on Vevo.
