S Setting • The Maze: Very big, shifts everyday, monsters come out at night, runners try to figure it out everyday. • The Glade: Where they live, where they grow crops and raise animals. • Homestead: Where they sleep, where they shower. • The Elevator: where Thomas first was, where they get new people and supplies.

  3. S • Blood House: where they kill all the animals. • Deadheads: where they burry the deceased, where Thomas and Ben fought.

  4. C Characters Thomas: newbie, confused, angry, sad, scared, tough, hero, get stuck in maze at night with Alby and Minho, saves Alby from grievers, protagonist, dynamic, took Minho's spot for runner, fast, and smart.

  5. C Minho • Runner, found dead griever in the maze, helps ably get out of maze when he gets bit then ends up getting stuck in it with Tomas at night, protagonist, static, fast, strong, fearless, smart, knows how to handle things while under pressure.

  6. C Alby • He is one of their leaders, strong, he got stung by a griever, he is a protagonist , he is a dynamic character. He is a very tough person, survives griever sting, and smart.

  7. C Gally • Protagonist but he changes to antagonist throughout the book, got stung by a griever and went crazy, dynamic, hates Thomas, wants revenge on Thomas, grumpy, mean, and strong.

  8. C Chuck • Protagonist, static, helped Thomas when he first arrived, fat, nice, lays low, follower, young, jokester, toured Thomas around the glade, newbie before Thomas showed up.

  9. P Rising action • Thomas became a runner after surviving the outside the maze. • Ably got stung by a griever when he was in the maze. • Minho gave up his spot as runner to Thomas. • Ben got banished for attacking Thomas. • Thomas is starting to figure out the maze piece by piece.

  10. P Climax • When the runners and leaders found out the only way to escape is thought the griever hole, they went and when they got there they saw about a dozen grievers blocking there way out. Thomas tried to sacrifice himself to save everyone, but Alby jumped in front and he sacrificed himself because he did not want Thomas to die. After he did that the distraction failed and he was killed for no reason.

  11. P Falling Action • They all pushed though to get in the hole one after another Thomas going last, when they were in fighting the grievers they found a button that said kill the maze, which kills all grievers. • Galley was a spy for the creators and when they confronted him he took a knife out of his pocket and though it at Thomas, but it missed and hit chuck, he then died in Thomas's arms.

  12. P • Thomas killed galley after that incident • The creators died at the end by one getting shot from nowhere, the other got ran over by the rescue bus. • They then got taken to a facility where they now live without any danger.

  13. T&R Theme and Resolution • Trapped: they are all trapped inside the maze with no escape, the only way out is to solve the maze. • All the kids got out of the maze, and survived but have more challenges to face soon.
