CSBA • Pedigrees are more than 100 years old in Canada • Operates under Agriculture Canada provisions of the Animal Pedigree Act • Works through Canadian Livestock Records Corporation
CLRC • Manages the herd books for all breeds of swine and prepares the pedigrees • Yorkshire • Landrace • Duroc • Lacombe • Berkshire • Large Black • Tamworth, etc.
CLRC • Membership listing of participating breeders by Province • Payment for pedigree preparation made to CLRC • Pedigree listing; pedigree paper; transfers for new owners maintained
CSBA • Annual memberships • Paid in January • Equal for each member • Same for all breeds • Lifetime memberships • Honorary memberships
CSBA • Association represented through Canadian Regions, with Directors from: • Western region – Alberta, British Columbia • Central region – Saskatchewan, Manitoba • Ontario • Quebec • Atlantic region – Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick
