  3. The First Brick Mr.Murphy, an Irish layman gave his small hospital and Dispensary to the FMA. A Salesian co-operator from Thanjavur was the doctor .

  5. 1929 • Due to financial difficulty, Mr.Murphy closed the hospital. • The vacant hospital became the Sisters’ quarters.
