Electoral college • How does the electoral college systems work? • The people of each state vote for the best electors that they think can represent them. • The number of electors depends on the population of each state • Then the electors vote for the President and Vice President. • And which ever candidate has 51%+ wins and the number of electors in each state goes towards the Democratic or republican party • For one of the candidates to win the elections they must have 270 electoral votes.

Maintaining the electoral college system in the United States - We as Americans must maintain this system to keep the success of the U.S moving forward. - Now Lets imagine we didn’t have this system we would have to vote directly - That can cause many problems as an fighting for a fewer or more votes and this would only hurt the U.S more. - That’s why we must keep it the way it is, to avoid any unreasonable situations - Moreover there hasn’t been many mistakes using this system

Maintaining the electoral college system in the United States • Now lets focus on some positive points - It keeps the U.S very well organized • Served to make the nations two-party system strong • Its very fair among the people that vote • There is no cheating in this system • It has worked fine thought the past years. • Enhances the status of minority interests - Maintains a federal system of government and representation

Conclusion • The Electoral College has performed its function for over 200 years (and in over 50 presidential elections) by ensuring that the President of the United States has both sufficient popular support to govern and that his popular support is sufficientlydistributed throughout the country to enable him to govern effectively.
