  3. LANDSCAPE TYPES • 1. BY THE SOIL AND RELIEF: • lowlands • highlands • mountains • foothills

  4. LANDSCAPE TYPES • LOWLANDS: • flat and warm • the most fertile soils (blacksoil) • they usually have a lot of art sightseeing • disrupted by the house-building • a large influence of humans • the Elbe lowlands, Moravian ravines, South Bohemian basins

LANDSCAPE TYPES • HIGHLANDS: • in our country prevailing (Šumava region, the area of the Giant mountains, Žďár region) • relatively fertile soil • moister and colder than lowlands • three layers as for the height: • lower layer– fertile valleys (human residences) • middle layer – foothills (pastures, forest) • upper layer – production spruce forest
