How she got started Following college Kara got a job as an assistant to Editor-in-Chief at Billboard magazine. There, she realized her love and passion for music was strong and she began attempting to get into the music scene as a singer and entertainer. Her attempts failed until she boldly stepped up to Paula Abdul on the New York streets. Paula listened to her demo and soon flew her out to L.A. to work with her! She has a lot to thank Paula for!
