What you NEED to know • DUE DATES: When are reading assignments, quizzes, tests, essays, drafts, and other assignments due? • Course Evaluation and Grading Scales: How will I be graded? How many points is each assignment worth? How many points do I need to get an A, a B, a C… • Class & Instructor Information: When are where is class? Who is your instructor? How can you get in touch with them? Do they have a preference for how you contact them? • Office Hours:When and where are they held? How can I schedule an appointment outside of office hours?
What you SHOULD know • Scoring Rubrics: Specific ways in which assignments will be graded • Learner Expectations/ Class rules: expectations in regards to attendance, late assignments, behavior in class, etc. • Required Materials: May include books, supplies, internet access, etc. • Disability Statement • Equality Statement • Academic Dishonesty Policy
