8. Nexplanon advantages over implanon • has an improved applicator.(The new preloaded device can be operated with one hand) without assistance.

9. Nexplanonadvantages over implanon • The Nexplanon implant is radiopaque because it contains a small amount of barium sulfate so that the implant can be seen by an X-ray or other imaging tool.

Advantages of implantable progesterone • After the insertion of the implant, etonogestrel is rapidly absorbed into the circulation. • Ovulation-inhibiting concentrations are reached within 1 day. • Maximum serum concentrations are reached within 1 to 13 days. • The contraceptive action of etonogestrel is reversible, which is apparent from the rapid return of the normal menstrual cycle after removal of the implant
