Complications and Dangers of Anorexia Nervosa: • Amenorrhea- menstrual period ceases • Normal growth/development may stop • Loss of muscle tissue as well as body fat • Bone density decreases- may result in osteoporosis • Blood pressure and pulse rate drop- organs begin to die • Starvation • Depression-could lead to suicide
