Electronic Mail Information Issues • Group XVII – eDoc Processing Performance • End-to-end processing performance issues. • Root Cause Analysis. • By/For relationships • Generation of multiple postage statements. • Implement Fixes to Optimize Processing. • 99% of eDoc files load into PostalOne! within a hour. • Evaluate Mailing Environments • Develop processing benchmarks for each mailing environment.

Electronic Mail Information Issues • Default Tray Placeholders • Current problem - The use of default tray placeholders with same identity impacting SASP performance • Impacting Return of Full Service Information (ACS) on Mailings • Not impacting mail acceptance (verification, postage and discounts • What is being done to address the issue? • Immediate: Communicate status to those affected and provide a process to provision ACS data • Next: Implement validation at front end – default tray placeholders greater than 1% in mailing file fails validation (Effective Mar release)

Electronic Mail Information Issues • IMR Issues • Current problem - The use of single piece or small range IMRs impacting SASP performance • Impacting Return of Full Service Information (ACS) on Some Mailings • What is being done to address the issue? • Immediate: Communicate status to those affected and provide a process to provision ACS data • Near term: Remove processes impacted by single piece and small range IMRs • March 15th Release • Long term: Establish Task Group to Evaluate Issues and Develop Solutions

Electronic Mail Information Issues • IMR Issues – Impact Remedy • 2/5/2010 – began provisioning of ACS data in a parallel process • Both to Full Service and OneCode ACS. • Provisioning by MID on Piece • Affected records reported to Address Quality Verification System • Will not affect mailers Move Update. • Clean Up • Capture records back to Dec 5 • Provision backlog records via OneCode ACS by 2/19.

Mailer’s Need to Meet Full Service Compliance for eDoc USPS has provided FS mailing data quality reports Mailing Data Quality Summary Report Error Verification Report Mailing Data Quality Error Type Report Detailed Error Verification Report Mailers can access these reports in PostalOne! Use Them to Identify Non-Compliance Issues to Correct Full Service eDoc Compliance

Workgroup Future • Implementation vs. Maintenance? • Evaluate task group efforts and open issues • Leverage existing or create new supply chain interaction groups (IDEAlliance, MTAC, User Groups) • USPS and Mailers need to improve review process of functionality scheduled for future software releases. • Development/Clarity to Technical Requirements • Development/Clarity to Business Rules • Various mailing environments
