What came out of the Call for Contributions ? Note: 127 proposals were still in draft format in the system, on the 31 October midnight. It was decided to consider these proposals as submitted if all the fields were completed and the proposal appeared to be ready for submission. IUCN’s Global Protected Area Programme
How the review and selection were done ? Technical Review Team Forum Strategic Panel • 100+ reviewers from all IUCN Constituents;(Commissions, Council, Members, Scientific Advisory Board, Secretariat, Partners, Host Country) • 1 proposal 3 reviewers (around 22 proposals per reviewer); • Technical review based on the 12 criteria endorsed by CPC in April 2011; • Comments & recommendations based purely on technical aspects. • 10+ IUCN Senior Managers (HQ + Regions) and 2 Host Country rep. • Decision based on: • Advice from Technical Review Team; • Strategic aspects; • Thematic/geographic spread. Double-check on strategic aspects • All groupings were checked with Global Directors and Heads of Programme; IUCN’s Global Protected Area Programme
