  1. EQ: How can we understand the need for order in society?Aim: Why do we need structure in society? Do Now: How is a classroom organized? How do teachers interact with students? How do some teachers/ adults get under your skin? If you were in charge of a school how would you keep order?

  2. Hook/ Transition How would you define chaos? How do people control chaos? Why are rules made? If a law or a rule is broken who are the people involved in a crime?

  3. Principal • The person that commits the crime

  4. Accomplice • Someone who helps a person commit a crime • Example: driver of get away car

  5. Accessory before the fact • Orders the crime • Or • Helps the principal commit the crime but is not actually there when the crime is committed • Example: mob boss ordering a hit

  6. Accessory after the fact • A person who, knowing a crime has been committed helps the principal or an accomplice avoid capture or escape

  7. Victim • The person the crime is committed against

  8. Summary • Why do we need structure in society? • Who are the people involved in a crime?
