First President of the Church • Presidency: 1832 - 1884 • Born Dec. 23, 1805 in Vermont • Died June 27, 1844 in Carthage Jail • When 14 years old saw the Father and the Son • Translated the Book of Mormon • First temple built in this dispensation, in Kirtland, Ohio • Baptized in the Susquehanna River on May 15, 1829. • Favorite food: Johnny Cakes Restored the Church of Jesus Christ
