MBONE Key Knowledge • DVMRP (Distance Vector Multicast Routing Protocol) • soft-state unicast routing table (single-source shortest path algorithms - Bellman-Ford,..) • RPM (Reverse Path Multicasting) to build per-source-group multicast tree • check source and routing table for RPM • check destination and IGMP database for multicast within this subnet • route exchange, prune, graft, graft ack (via IGMP DVMRP)
