JM Home Meet Info - Nieland • Be here by 7:15 a.m. – Check in with Coach Adam in the Cafeteria • 7:30a.m. – be in the hallways and entryways – help welcome teams/judges & and give directions • 3 rounds / no finals • Food / supplies donations – Rocket Center – 7:10 a.m. • Bring a lunch or $$$ for lunch at Concessions • Team warm up at 8:15 a.m. – with Coach Adam – meet in front of Concessions • Speakers can compete AND do the Polar Plunge – tell your Round 3 judge that you need to speak 1st
JM Home Meet, Cont. - Nieland • Draw categories: you will draw from ALL stories and/or topics – you will draw for EACH round • Captains – Mentor NEW speakers / posting schematics for rounds / awards • Discussion: you’ll focus on Section I from the outline – People Issues. • Awards: 2:00 (approximately) – Auditorium • Stay dressed up until after awards • Parents, family, friends – all are welcome • CLEAN UP! You will be assigned an area. No one goes home until we give the okay. 3:30 (approximately)

Vocal Variety Celebrity RULES • Only guess when a member from your team is doing the interp. • When you’re the one doing the interp. for your team: • You can not say the word(s) on the slip—or any variation of that word(s) • You must attempt to use a voice that mimics the voice of the character/celebrity on your slip • Pantomime is acceptable • You have 45 seconds to get through as many as you can • You may pass if you don’t know the character/celebrity listed
