But before that, you must sign up for a bike rental membership in Newport and use it at Balboa Fun Tours. • Membership Plans for Bike Rentals in Newport • A Balboa Fun Tours (BFT) member should be a part of the rental party and is responsible for the electric bike as stated in the rental agreement. • Bike rental membership in Newport is invalid during holidays, special occasions, and their corresponding weekends.  • You should have a valid ID issued by the government at the time of rental for identity verification. The bike rental member can never be combined, upgraded, augmented, or transferred.  • The membership will remain the same throughout the period.  • The membership starts from the day you sign up and will expire the same day after the duration of your choosing – monthly, 3-month, or 6-month.  • Only the names of the members provided at the time of the registration are eligible for enjoying membership privileges.  • If a BFT member brings a friend who wants to rent a bike, you will receive a bike rental package at half price, but the membership does not cover the cost of baskets, locks, or extras. Bikes with attachments or tandem bikes are not included in this membership.

  4. Bike Rental Membership Terms for BFT Members  • The bike rental is limited to one day. The day starts at 9 am when the shop opens and ends at the time of closing the shop.  • All bikes should get back to the pickup location before closing time.  • You will receive a notification about when you should return to the pickup point.  • You will be charged an additional day’s total rate if you cannot return the bike rental safely before closing time.  • In case the bike is stolen during the rental period, you will be solely responsible for the total cost of the bike. We will let you know about the figure at the time of rental. • All bike rentals are subject to availability. For instance, if a member takes a bike at 2 pm, the bike should be back at the shop before 5 pm. Otherwise, be ready to bear the additional costs.
