  3. Changes affecting 9-15 Passenger vans • 6/1/2010 effective: 75 miles exemption removed unless exempted • DOT# on van • Driver file requirements • Vehicle inspections • SAFER reporting system

  4. Who is exempt? • Single state operators • Commercial Zone or otherwise: example Washington DC area-WMATC • Check local rules frequently

  5. Why DOT “Light”? • Don made up this term! • No driver CDL required • No driver log book required • HOWEVER…..

  6. DOT Driver Record Requirements • DOT physical and driver card • Hours of service tracking • MVA history • Safety/fitness reviews • No drug test, but……. • Document, Document, Document
