5. Rule #3 No food, gum, or drinks allowed!!!!!!

6. Rule #4 Electronic devices may onlybe used when you have my permission. Otherwise Keep them in your purse or pocket.(ladies keep your purses under your desks.)

7. Rule #5 No restroom breaks!No locker trips! *** Only exception is if you have a medical note in the office.

8. Rule #6 Stay on task and do not disturb others who are on task.

9. Rule #7 Follow all rules in the Horn Lake Student Agenda.

10. Consequences • 1st offense: verbal warning • 2nd offense: verbal warning and phone call or email to parents • 3rd offense: principal’s office (All offenses will be documented in the discipline log, and you may receive a behavior report.)

12. ENTERING THE CLASSROOM • Enter the classroom quietly. • Pull out previous night’s homework. Write down tonight’s homework. • Begin Bellwork (see board for bellwork assignment).

13. TARDY POLICY ! • To NOT be tardy: - You must be in your seat. - You must have all of your supplies. - You must be working on bell work.

14. BELL WORK Bell work will usually consist of several problems on skills that we have previously learned.

15. When I want your attention: I will: Ring the bell... You will:Zip your lips and give meyour full attention. • Visitors: From time to time, other adults will be coming into our classroom to observe me as a teacher and you as students. There will also be times when I may have to stop for a second to answer another adult’s question. In cases like these, it is very important for you to be very respectful. 16. GETTING OUT OF YOUR SEAT • Pencilsshould be sharpened beforewe start class. • Papershould be thrown away as you leave the classroom. *If you need a tissue, cover your nose and raise your hand. PLEASE DON’T!! MODEL STUDENT 

17. HOMEWORK • Usually 5 questions • Work must be shown to get credit. • Homework will count as a participation grade. This means that if you tried it and I see your work, and it makes sense, then you will get credit for it even if an answer is incorrect. However, random numbers written on the paper with no work shown will result in no credit. • Each day you have completed homework I will sign-off that day in your homework log. • Homework logs are due after the week’s homework is finished (Friday or Monday)signed by your parents. • Without the log, I have nothing to grade which will result in a zero in the grade book. If your parents do not sign the homework log you will not get full credit.

18. MAKE-UP WORK • You are responsible for collecting your make-up assignments. Missed assignments are posted on my website. Weekly assignments are posted on the board. • Tests will need to be made up as soon as possible. It is your responsibility to get with me to schedule a time for your make-up test.

DISMISSAL POLICY • To next class: - I dismiss you, not the bell. - Everyone must be silent. - The classroom must be clean. • To lunch: - You are to line up on the third block outside the classroom door. - You are to remain silent. - We will not leave until EVERYONE is silent. If you speak, the entire class will reenter the room and try again.

20. Tests will be taken quietly and independently. • Any disruption of any kind during the test • will result in 20 points off per incident. • Cheating will result in a 0. • Please do not ask mefor any help working • the problems on your test. • When you finish your test, quietly and • without disrupting others place your test in • the test bin. • When you return to your desk you may: • - Read a book • - Work on an assignment for another class • - Put your head down Test Taking Policy

21. REWARDS / CONSEQUENCES • You will have a weekly behavior classwork grade. • Each day is worth 20 points. You will receive the twenty points as long as your name is not entered into the discipline log. • By the end of the week, you can have a 100 classwork grade as long as you have not been entered in the discipline log. *Entry in the discipline log will result in a note on your homework log. 100 80 60 40 20 0

22. I will not grade a test or any assignment without a name on it.

23. If I cannot read your handwriting, I will require you to redo an assignment.

24. Students are not to touch anything in the cabinets or teacher work area unless given permission from me.

25. If one athlete acts out in class, I will notify the coach that all of his athletes in that class are causing a behavior problem”.

26. If you are caught writing or passing notes they will be taken up and every “juicy” word will be read by me.
