What will be the Best for Me…. Is it already time for College?.
E N D
Is it already time for College? • I never realized fast college was coming, until my sister left last summer for her first year of college. Then I began looking and realized that college is a great experience. I went on a couple college visits to Mount Union, Alleghany, and Ohio University. I noticed that I was probably going to end up liking a big school over a small one. So I then decided to compare Ohio University, West Virginia, and Cincinnati. Things I wanted to compare were the cost, location, and size of each school.
Ohio University-Bobcats • Athens, Ohio • Public University that was founded in 1804. • Physical Therapy – Doctorate • Students that had a full-time job offer within six months of graduation- 75% • Student faculty ratio 19:1 • Average ACT score- 23 • Small Town Area
West Virginia- Mountaineers • Morgantown, West Virginia • Public University that was founded in 1867 • Physical Therapy - Bachelor's, Doctorate • Had a full-time job offer within six months of graduation 80% • Student faculty ratio 23:1 • Average ACT score- 24 • Small Town Area
University of Cincinnati- Bobcats • Cincinnati, OH • Public University that was founded in 1819 • Physical Therapy – Associate • Student faculty ratio 15:1 • Average ACT score- 24 • Large City Area
Location of Each School Estimated time- 3 Hours and 14 Minutes Estimated time- 4 Hours and 34 Minutes Estimated time- 3 Hours and 37 Minutes
Cost Per School Cincinnati Total- $18,873 Ohio University Total- $19,254 West Virginia Total- $25,350 *The cost is important because it would be nice to have minimal debt out of college.
Total Enrollment… *The size is also important because it would be nice to go to a college where there are many different types of people.
Ohio University… • After comparing The University of Cincinnati, Ohio University, and West Virginia I concluded that Ohio University would be the best fit for me. Once I found out how small Cincinnati was it didn’t sound as appealing because I knew I wanted a big campus. Then I saw that West Virginia cost more because it was out of state, and so it didn’t look so good either. Then Ohio University seem to have everything that I wanted including a big rural campus, a good physical therapy program, and it isn’t to far away from home.
