8. 机经时间（对话1） • 1. MM 去 office 问 club 的事。她想参加一个 bicycle club, 但是由于 office 搬迁, 这个 club 最近没有活动。负责人提到一个S 的人名(考点,问这个 S 是干嘛的, 我没听清)她问还有什么户外 club. 负责人 告诉她有一个hiking club 和一个 rock club. MM 说她那个星期五的 club 没法参加因为她有个 biology 的活动。 另一 rock club 在星期三她可以参加。她喜欢 climbing.

10. 机经时间（讲座2） • 3. 出版方式对写作风格的影响。说在早期英国,文学作品都很贵,还出好几个volume,那么没钱的英国人是怎样看书的呢?第一种,图书馆借书。一个什么 m 图书馆,在各个大城市都有分号,大家交会费然后去借书 看。图书馆很欢迎出好几个volume 的方式,因为这样可以同时满足很多个读者。其次,这个图书馆馆长 m 先生是个很保守的人。他不喜欢太先锋的作品。因为他博物馆的巨大需求,出 版商在出版书目的时候都会考 虑他的口味。第二种方式,买期刊杂志,那上面带 有连载。作者为了吸引大家继续买杂志,经常会在结尾故 弄玄虚,引起了批评。 然后说道狄更斯,他其实是这种方式的创始人。但狄更斯不是故弄玄虚,而是更 subtle 的方式,吸引读者。

11. 机经时间（对话2） • 1. 男学生想要成立一个 film club,老师说已经有一个了,学生说现有的那个都是 放大片的,他想建一个放黑白电影的,老师说那你这个想法很好。建 club 的步骤 是先填申请表,如果需要还要请 advisor,学生说已经请一个了,之后上 dean 的 网站看 guideline 然后交个 constitution,之后好像还说到学校给的支援,能提供 场地什么的,如果有 advisor 会更容易得到支持。

12. 机经时间（讲座3） • 罗马的一个引水渠,罗马大城市很多,水源成问题,需要渠从外面引水。水应该 选品质好的,地势高于城市的。然后说到了建渠的材料...后来说了一种arch 什么 的,这个东西既美观又实用。

13. 机经时间（讲座4） • 有机物分解之后可以为土壤提供养分,垃圾降解可以加速这些有机物垃圾的 decompose,需要把垃圾堆在一起让它保持 warm 这样细菌会增多。然后说到垃 圾场不好是因为缺氧的环境下垃圾会释放 methane 等温室气体,然后这种降解还 可以消除土壤中的 toxin。

14. 机经时间（对话3） • 一个男学生先是跟老师讨论他的 paper 说好像没太注意 format 什么的,老师说 对重要的是文章内容的品质,接着男生问这个老师是不是还在一个什么大学任教, 老师说是,学生说太好了他正想申请那个学校的研究生。老师问他是不是想申请 marine 什么的,因为老师记得他以前对那个感兴趣,学生说不是他要申请另外一 个 historical 的 major。老师说一个 Smith 老师有个活动男生应该感兴趣,学生听 了后觉得确实有意思而且跟他想申请的专业相关,就问老师可不可以参加,老师让 他去问问 Smith 老师。

15. 机经时间（讲座5） • 一个文艺复兴时期的女画家画 portrait 的,文艺复兴时期强调个人价值所以 portrait 开始流行。 教授说她家条件好,社会地位高所以有家庭教师。说了米开朗 基罗貌似跟女画家关系好,间接说明女画家有才,然后说女画家的画的重要特点 genre painting,是画日常生活的人事物。

16. 机经时间（讲座6） • 考古学家研究那些古代的 tool 就自己做一遍,说道有个人通过做一个东西的三个步骤不同的方法,发现了可以这样来判断 tool 造的日期和谁造的。然后说到了一个bronze 做的东西和一个 bamboo 做的东西。 反正 bronze 最后其实是祭祀才开始用的,还说到了 stone 和什么东西
